CenterPoint unveils Phase 2 of grid resilience plan, with 25K stronger power poles

CenterPoint Energy (NYSE:CNP) +1% in Monday’s trading after unveiling plans to overhaul its power grid infrastructure in the next eight months before the start of the 2025 hurricane season, including adding 25K stronger power poles made of fiberglass or other material that meet extreme wind standards.
The utility also set a target of trimming or removing higher-risk vegetation along 4K miles of power lines.
