The six Shelby County suburbs want Memphis, Light Gas and Water to stay with the Tennessee Valley Authority and not switch electricity suppliers.
The six suburbs have written a joint resolution that urges MLGW to stay with TVA and could be passed by the municipalities before MLGW leadership gives a recommendation next week as to whether it wants to leave TVA and purchase electricity elsewhere.
