Water and Sewer Rate Increases Look to be the Utility Commissions Solution to Money Issues

The Monticello City Council met Tuesday night and heard a report from Robert Miller with the KY Rural Water Association regarding the recent rate analysis of the Monticello Utility Commission.
Miller stated that he conducted three separate studies, one for Bronston rates, one for sewer rates, and a third for the remaining rates. He concluded retail water and sewer rates have not been sufficient when compared to expenses and obligations the utility commission has each month.
